Ketamine Assisted EMDR Intensives

Ketamine-Assisted EMDR at Climbing Mountains Wellness

At Climbing Mountains Wellness, we offer ketamine-assisted EMDR as part of an integrative, trauma-informed approach to healing. This service is designed to support clients working through trauma, depression, anxiety, and emotional blocks by combining the depth of EMDR with the therapeutic benefits of low-dose ketamine.

Our work is grounded in safety, intention, and integration, creating space for meaningful processing, nervous system regulation, and lasting change.

Our Approach

We provide ketamine-assisted EMDR in collaboration with a licensed medical provider, who prescribes and oversees all medical aspects of care. Climbing Mountains Wellness provides the therapeutic support, including EMDR and integration.

Low-dose sublingual ketamine is incorporated thoughtfully within the treatment process to enhance access to emotions, reduce internal barriers, and support deeper processing.

Sessions are typically 90 to 120 minutes, allowing adequate time for preparation, the ketamine-assisted experience, and initial integration.

Clients are guided through:

  • Preparation and resourcing using EMDR-informed approaches
  • A supported ketamine-assisted session
  • Integration sessions to process and solidify insights

Much like climbing a mountain, this work is intentional and layered requiring preparation, guidance, and time to integrate the experience. You are supported at every step of the journey.

Post Traumatic Growth Intensives

Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) intensives are specialized programs designed to help individuals navigate and thrive in the aftermath of trauma. Unlike traditional therapy, which often focuses on symptom reduction and coping strategies, PTG intensives emphasize personal growth, resilience, and transformation following traumatic experiences. We incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)/EGO state informed parts work can offer a powerful and integrative approach to healing and transformation following trauma. Each of these modalities can contribute to the PTG process within an intensive program

Key features of PTG intensives may include:

1. Focused Exploration: PTG intensives provide a structured and concentrated environment for individuals to explore the impact of trauma on their lives and identify opportunities for growth. Participants engage in deep reflection, introspection, and processing of their experiences under the guidance of a trained practitioner.

2. Strength Based Approach: PTG intensives focus on harnessing individuals' strengths, resources, and resilience to facilitate growth and healing. Participants are encouraged to recognize and build upon their innate abilities, coping mechanisms, and support networks as they navigate their journey toward post-traumatic growth.

3. Evidence-Based Techniques: PTG intensives draw upon evidence-based practices from positive psychology, trauma therapy, mindfulness, and other modalities to promote growth-oriented outcomes. Participants may engage in activities such as narrative therapy, mindfulness exercises, expressive arts, journaling, and group discussions to facilitate healing and transformation.

4. Integration and ongoing services: PTG intensives emphasize the importance of ongoing integration and application of growth-oriented strategies beyond the intensive program. Participants are provided with tools, resources, and support systems to continue their journey toward post-traumatic growth in their daily lives, empowering them to sustain positive changes over the long term.

Overall, Post-Traumatic Growth intensives offer a comprehensive and structured approach to supporting individuals in transforming their traumatic experiences into opportunities for personal/professional and spiritual growth, resilience, and meaning-making. By providing a supportive and empowering environment for healing and exploration, PTG intensives can help individuals not only survive but thrive in the aftermath of trauma.

Nervous System Regulation Intensives

When stress, trauma, burnout, anxiety, or life transitions overwhelm the nervous system, it can become difficult to feel present, connected, and grounded. You may find yourself stuck in patterns of hypervigilance, overthinking, emotional reactivity, exhaustion, people-pleasing, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others.

A Nervous System Regulation Intensive is designed to help you move beyond simply coping and begin creating lasting change.

Through an individualized, extended-session format, we work together to identify nervous system patterns, increase capacity for emotional regulation, and develop tools that support greater resilience, safety, and well-being.

What Is a Nervous System Regulation Intensive?

Unlike traditional weekly therapy, an intensive provides focused time to address the root causes of dysregulation while building practical skills for everyday life.

Using a trauma-informed approach, your intensive may incorporate:

  • Somatic Experiencing-informed interventions
  • EMDR
  • Brainspotting
  • Mindfulness and grounding practices
  • Parts work and ego-state interventions
  • Attachment-focused healing
  • Breathwork and nervous system education
  • Polyvagal-informed strategies
  • Resourcing and self-regulation techniques

Each intensive is tailored to your unique needs and goals.

Who Can Benefit?

This intensive may be helpful if you:

  • Experience chronic stress or burnout
  • Feel stuck in fight, flight, freeze, or fawn responses
  • Struggle with anxiety or overwhelm
  • Have a history of trauma or adverse life experiences
  • Feel disconnected from your body or emotions
  • Are a caregiver, healthcare provider, first responder, therapist, or helping professional
  • Want to strengthen emotional resilience and self-awareness
  • Adjunct to weekly therapy

What to Expect

Prior to your intensive, we will complete a consultation to determine your goals and ensure the format is the right fit.

Your intensive may include:

  • Comprehensive assessment of nervous system patterns
  • Education on trauma and regulation
  • Development of personalized regulation tools
  • Experiential exercises and processing work
  • A customized post-intensive integration plan

Sessions are available in half-day, full-day, or multi-day formats.
